MARQUISE, 3/8"H metallic cover stock and quilling paper on 16"x20" archival panel.
The recipient of this commissioned piece is a jewelry designer so we juxtaposed a marquise cut gemstone with delicate hibiscus flowers.
This is definitely one of my favorite pieces to date. Red is such a difficult color to photograph (not sure why it always comes out oversaturated), these photos really don't do it justice.
The artwork is on its way to HK, and we're on our way to LA for a week. Happy Labor Day!
Beautiful.. Very interesting interplay between the gemstone and hibiscus... Luv this 😍😍😍
Amazing, I thought the last one was my favourite but I love this. So clever.
